The Knights of Thera were among the noblest souls in the lands, valourous and pure of heart, ready to aid the weak and needy. The order was founded in the Second Age by the God of Honor, Cador, and its members were to represent all that is good and right in Thera. They existed to protect all from the forces of darkness, following a strict code of Honor. Honor and Goodness set them above all others, yet they were not so proud as to not help those in need. They were never to raise a hand in battle, except to aid the innocent and combat the shadow of Darkness. Evil, however, was their target, and they were charged with hunting it down and destroying it. As the order grew in power, their focus on destroying evil at all costs caused the God of Honor to turn his back on them as they had forsaken the Honor upon which their strength was based. The Code of Honor was reclaimed by Cador in the Third Age, and the order disbanded.
