The Fortress is a home to all of those who hold the values of the Light foremost in their heart. Guarded by one of the mythical Tara-bal, within the Fort dwell the Brigade of the Phoenix, as well as the Acolytes of the Golden Sun. While the means and methods of each group differs, they both have the same singular goal of the absolute preservation of the Light. The Brigade acts on the front line of the war, engaging the darkness where ever it may lie, while the Acolytes stand strong behind them, keeping their convictions fierce and their faith strong. What makes the Fortress strong is the bond and unity between these two groups. They stand as one, even if their paths are different. The Fortress accepts any of the Light to become a squire to the Brigade, or scribe to the Acolytes. The young recruits of the Fortress are expected to perform the duties of whichever group they are apprenticed to, to prove themselves worthy of their ranks before gaining full status as a member of the Brigade, or the Acolytes.
